Granato Campaign Volunteer Opportunities

Delivering Campaign Signs
WHEN: Immediately
We have dozens of supporters in Salt Lake County who have asked for signs to be delivered to their homes and businesses.  We provide the contact information, the signs, and the maps, and a campaign t-shirt.  We ask that volunteers provide their own mode of transportation.

Calling Constituents
WHEN: Ongoing
We need volunteer assistance in calling our constituents to request placement of lawn signs in prominent areas throughout Salt Lake County.  We provide everything you need to get started--names, addresses, telephone numbers, a desk and comfortable chair, cold drinks, and a campaign t-shirt.

Scheduling Volunteers
WHEN: Ongoing
We need assistance in contacting and scheduling volunteers, who have expressed an interest in helping out at campaign events and activities such as parades and festivals, county fairs, neighborhood canvassing, phone banking, research, and data entry.  We provide everything you need to do the job--names, telephone numbers, a desk and comfortable chair, cold drinks, and a campaign t-shirt.

Research
WHEN: Ongoing
We have several opportunities to work with our Communications staff to research issues and relevant topics.  We provide everything you need to do the job--research topics, a computer, direction if needed, a desk and comfortable chair, cold drinks, and a campaign t-shirt.  We ask that volunteers have a proficiency in web-based research techniques.

Mailings
WHEN: Week of July 19, 2010
We have several opportunities to work with our Communications and Fundraising staff to prepare constituent and fundraising mailings.  We provide everything you need to do the job--the letters/envelopes, stamps, a desk and comfortable chair, cold drinks, and a campaign t-shirt.

Data Entry
WHEN: Ongoing
We need assistance in completing several data entry projects.  We provide everything you need to do the job--the data, a computer, a desk and comfortable chair, cold drinks, and a campaign t-shirt.  We ask that volunteers show a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Canvassing Neighborhoods
WHEN: July 17, 2010 and ongoing
We need volunteers to participate in canvassing neighborhoods in Salt Lake, Summit and Weber Counties on Saturday, July 17.  We provide everything you need to do the job--a brief orientation, the maps, names and addresses, a script, a clipboard, campaign literature, and a campaign t-shirt.  We ask that volunteers provide sunscreen or a comfortable hat.
